Abstract

This study presents the design and implementation of an intelligent user interface (IUI) to track and visualize the stages and operations of oil refineries. The aim is to enhance the educational and operational understanding of refinery processes by integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) concepts into user interface design. The proposed system, developed using Python and the Tkinter library, provides interactive windows and detailed visualizations for each major refining stage—including atmospheric distillation, vacuum distillation, catalytic reforming, cracking, desulfurization, and steam cracking. Each module includes technical descriptions, product data, process illustrations, and AI-driven solutions to address industrial challenges such as efficiency, emissions, and optimization. The research bridges the gap between petroleum refining knowledge and digital innovation, offering a user-friendly educational platform for engineering students and professionals. It also sets a foundation for future enhancements including real-time data integration, smart monitoring, and sustainability-focused modules.
